My mama wouldn’t like this at all.

When my grandma gave me “the look”, I knew I was doing something that she disapproved of. I am not saying that what I was doing was usually wrong; it was rather something I was doing at the wrong time. The “look” doesn’t work on every child. Some children are defiant and pushed their parent/guardian to see what they could get away with. This picture below reminded me of one of those children.

“Shoes on feet do not belong on seats.”

I felt disgusted when I got on the bus and saw this young man with his foot on the seat. It irked me to see his behavior. How could he justified his action. His behavior in my opinion was repulsive. It was nasty. It was deviant. He had no respect for other people’s property.

I wondered what I was sitting on/in? The microscopic bacterial germs that lingers below from someone’s dirty shoes. I wanted to say something to him with my eyes, but his eyes were closed as he relaxed. Based on his behavior with his shoes on the seat, I could only imagine his living quarter and the place he called home.

Three important rules while traveling on public transportation.

  • Do not put your feet on the seat.
  • Do not eat in the vehicle.
  • Do not play loud music in the vehicle… use your headphones.

Let us be courteous and show respect to others. Too often we disregard rules and make other people uncomfortable whiile we demand respect from others. We use public transportation and while it is not in the comfort of our own vehicle, we can make it an enjoyable experience for others.

Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you.

Ok, I said it!
