A Simple Birthday Wish

Prop up on bed on my fluffy pillows, the dim light from my phone illuminates my face. I aimlessly scroll through the many messages on Nextdoor.

Nextdoor is a website where you can become a member of a community. It brings people together where they exchange recommendations and read the latest local news. You can advertise your skills for employment and support your neighbors and local businesses. You can also borrow tools and sell couches.πŸ›‹

However, this πŸ›‹ couch was not for sale. It belongs to Uncle Joey at Andrus on Hudson, a Skilled Nursing Facility. Looking at that broad smile, reminds me of my grandfarher. The caption below the picture reads:

Happy Birthday, Uncle Joey! 101 years on planet Earth. Thank you for your service – ww2.

This WW2 hero is turning 101 on December 8th and would love ❀️ a card from you to readπŸ“š . Last of the true heros who fought πŸ‘ the front lines in Germany, and if it weren’t for him, we would all be talking German today. Card reading keeps him busy.

I felt compelled to honor such a simple request that would bring happiness to Uncle Joey. So, I set out to get the perfect card and found the Hallmark beauty.

I hope this card will bring a smile to Uncle Joey’s face and brighten his special day. A gift 🎁 he asked for, granted.

I place the card in the outgoing mail today; it should get delivered on time for his birthday.πŸŽ‚ πŸ₯³
